Among some of the rarest and most sought after Pokemon cards, the Masaki promos were part of a promotion in 1999 surrounding the vending machine series of Pokemon cards called the, "Communications Evolution Campaign". Collectors would have to send in one of 5 pre-evolved Pokemon cards along with a Bill’s PC card and be mailed back an exclusive card of that Pokemon’s final evolution that never had its artwork re-released. Plagued by defects due to how they were shipped, the majority of these promos even on release were riddled with dents and dings making finding copies worthy of high grades a true challenge. A truly unique addition to any collection, the Masaki promos tick all the right boxes of phenomenal artwork, rarity, and difficulty to grade.
