Among the first Pokemon cards ever released, Topsun cards were released in Japan by Top-Seika in packs of their chewing gum in the late 1990s. Collectors would receive two cards randomly inserted inside their packs of gum featuring artwork by legendary Pokemon illustrator Ken Sugimori, and with only 1 pack in every box receiving a holographic Prism card. This Blastoise Prism card is one of only 13 PSA 10s currently in existence and showcases the timeless depiction of Blastoise that was on the cover of the English version of the Pokemon Blue Game Boy game. With raw Prism cards becoming increasingly difficult to find and grade due to age, collectability, cardstock, manufacturer problems, an overall scarcity of sealed product, and an extraordinary difficult pull rate it is very unlikely that the population report at PSA will increase by much going forward for this card. The Topsun Prism Blastoise is one of the most difficult Blastoise cards to acquire graded in PSA 10 for these reasons, and is truly worthy of being in any high-end collection or investment portfolio.
