Among the first Pokemon cards ever released, Topsun cards were released in Japan by Top-Seika in packs of their chewing gum in the late 1990s. Collectors would receive two cards randomly inserted inside their packs of gum featuring artwork by legendary Pokemon illustrator Ken Sugimori, and with packs containing holographic Prism cards extremely hard to pull. With raw cards becoming increasingly difficult to grade due to age, collectability, cardstock, manufacturer problems, and an overall scarcity of sealed product; these cards will continue to increase in value over time as more people realize their significance. With "Blue Back" cards being considered the first printing of these cards, you are looking at a true piece of Pokemon history. You're viewing one of over 4,000 items in our fourth Weekly Sunday Auction, spanning all sports and genres, closing on the evening of Sunday, February 13th. Extended bidding starts at 7pm PST. You must place a bid on an item to bid on that item during extended bidding.
