What cards are eligible for redemption?

Accepted Answer

Only Red RCs of AL and NL MLB Rookie of the Year winners are eligible for redemption. Other Red RCs that do not feature Rookie of the Year winners do not qualify for FanCash redemption.

When does the Red Rookie Redemption submission window open?

Accepted Answer

The Rookie of the Year redemption period will open shortly after the MLB announces the award winners in November. Submission details will be provided at that point. The first eligible redemption window will remain open until March 31, 2027. If a Rookie of the Year winner goes on to win an MVP or Cy Young award, the redemption window for those players will reopen from that announcement in November until the following March. If a player wins more than one of either award, there will be a redemption period corresponding to each win. If that player goes on to be inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame within 10 years of retirement from the league after winning ROY and either an MVP or Cy Young award, the redemption window will re-open from the induction date for a period of five months. Eligible cards must be received by the conclusion of each respective redemption period to earn the corresponding FanCash reward.

What happens if the player does not achieve any additional awards?

If a Rookie of the Year winner does not win an MVP or Cy Young Award and is not inducted into the Hall of Fame, their card will no longer be eligible for redemption after the first open redemption period.

Question 4

How do I redeem my Bowman Red Rookie Redemption card?

Accepted Answer

To redeem your card, you must: 1. Have or create a Fanatics Collect account. You can create or log into your Fanatics Collect account using your Fanatics ID. 2. Ensure your card is authentic and in fair condition, free from significant tears or major creases. 3. Ship your eligible card via mail following the Red Rookie Redemption submission instructions. These will be released closer to the submission window.

What do I receive in exchange for the Red RC?

Accepted Answer

When you redeem your card(s), you will receive FanCash that will be deposited into your Fanatics Collect account. FanCash may not be exchanged for cash or any other monetary value. FanCash will be issued to your account after your card has been verified and ingested. The amount of FanCash is determined by the table above. FanCash does not expire.

Is there a limit on the number of cards I can redeem?

Each Collect account can redeem up to 50 eligible cards per open redemption period.

How long does a player have to be inducted into the Hall of Fame for their cards to be eligible?

Accepted Answer

A player must win Rookie of the Year and at least one MVP or Cy Young and be inducted into the Hall of Fame within 10 years of their retirement from the league to be eligible for the $1,000 FanCash Hall of Fame redemption award.

No, a player can win Rookie of the Year in a later season to be eligible for redemption.

What if a player wins Rookie of the Year and MVP or Cy Young in the same season?

Accepted Answer

If a player wins Rookie of the Year and MVP or Cy Young in the same season, the redemption rewards will be combined, meaning you receive $400 in FanCash upon successful submission.

What if a player wins MVP and Cy Young in the same season?

Accepted Answer

If a player wins MVP and Cy Young in the same season, that player's card is only eligible for one redemption window and the higher of the two redemption values.

What if a player who wins Rookie of the Year does not have a Red RC?

Accepted Answer

If a player does not have a Red RC, that player's cards are ineligible for the Red Rookie Redemption. Only a player's Red RCs are eligible.

The Baseball Writers' Association of America votes to determine the winners of the MLB Rookie of the Year awards.
