The 1999-2000 Pokémon English Base Set will forever be remembered as the release that laid the foundation for the franchise’s enormous TCG success. Released in 1999, the set came out in other languages, including Korean, the following year. As did its English predecessor, the Korean release kicked off with a 1st Edition. However, not all 1st Edition print runs are the same. Many other countries’ versions were smaller than that of the English set, with the Korean Base Set among the languages with the lowest print run.
