When Upper Deck launched Exquisite Collection Basketball in 2003-04, much of the attention was on the many autographs and memorabilia cards that dominated the checklist, particularly when it came to the historic rookie class. But like everything in the inaugural release, even the checklist's unsigned cards have taken on a prestigious spot among collectors.
This 2003-04 Exquisite Collection Gold Dwyane Wade is one of three parallels the Hall of Famer's iconic rookie card has. Although it's lacking the signature-patch combination of the base version, it's also far more rare with just 25 copies. It's also part of Exquisite Collection's landmark debut.
Wade retired after the 2018-19 season as a three-time NBA Champion and one of the greatest shooting guards to ever play the game. This ranks as one of his more significant rookie issues.
Graded a NM-MT 8, it's a pop 3 in the PSA registry with none higher.
