Unlike its Topps flagship and Chrome counterparts, which were released separately for the 2003-04 season, Bowman and Bowman Chrome were wrapped into the same product. Chrome versions acted as parallels of the Bowman “paper” base set, with Chrome versions differentiated by that telltale foil shine and the addition of the word “Chrome” to the label. Rookies comprised cards #111-146 of the checklist, with LeBron’s slotting it at #123.
In addition to the base Chrome parallel, there were also several serial-numbered Refractors to chase, one of which was the /300 base Refractor seen here.
