Tom Brady’s 2021 Absolute Kaboom Green card has a storied history. In 2013, Panini Creative Director Brandon Lesley contacted Hungarian illustrator Gyula Nemeth to draw the NBA players selected for a 20-card insert for Panini’s Innovation Basketball set. Nemeth responded by creating one of the most unforgettable card series in industry history, the stunning pop art collection known as Kaboom cards. Nemeth portrayed the players as comic book characters.
