Wizards of the Coast released its last Pokémon set, Skyridge, in 2003. It also serves as the final offering in the e-Reader series. One of the leading cards from that Skyridge set is the lizard of legend—Charizard, a character that ignited the passions of many fans and collectors. This “Crystal Charizard” utilizes three different types and can change its typing based on the energy types used during a turn. The e-Reader was a device similar to credit card Square attachments that many retailers use today, and players could swipe the barcodes on the Pokémon cards to unlock minigames, get Pokédex entries, or bonus in-game items on their Game Boy system. Because of the swiping, many cards from the series suffered damage to the edges—especially cards of the most popular characters.
This copy has not suffered, though. It is a Gem Mint PSA 10.
