While 2000 SP Top Prospects Baseball devoted much of its focus to emerging players at the turn of the century, it also took the opportunity to highlight two of the most intriguing minor leaguers of all time long after they’d grinded away in the lower leagues of baseball. The 2000 SP Top Prospects release included a 10-card Game-Used Bats insert set, two of which featured pieces of game-used equipment from Ken Griffey Jr. and Michael Jordan. And while those two icons’ minor league careers were well in the rearview by the time the set came out, Upper Deck still knew the superstars’ pull. So the company had each sign a limited number of Game-Used Bats cards.
As seen in Jordan’s hand-numbering on this example, MJ’s was limited to print run /45. While the wide range of Jordan game-used patch autos rightfully ranks highly with collectors’, here is a rare opportunity to take a swing a different type of signed Jordan relic, with this card featuring a piece of game-used bat from the legend’s time with the Birmingham Barons.
The certification number on this card has been checked against the third-party grader's online database and is active as of 06/04/2026.
