Think back to visiting a local grocery store as a child. Most kids did not make this trip willingly, but if they behaved, kept their hands to themselves, and maybe even helped push the cart, they usually walked away with a treat for their trouble. Maybe they chose a candy bar, or even the newest sugary cereal they had been dying to try.
But for a handful of lucky kids, their treat turned out to be this 1985 Prism Jewel Michael Jordan sticker. Distributed from vending machines outside of Prism and Jewel stores, this sticker headlined a 14-card set that featured other NBA legends such as Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, and Julius Erving.
Naturally, most kids did not hold onto these stickers for posterity—instead, they found their way onto notebooks, lockers, and the like. As a result, high-grade examples have become extremely scarce and highly coveted.
This Mint 9 is a pop 7 in the BGS census with none ranking higher.
