The 2008 Battle Road series marked the end of the famous circuit, with the Pokémon World Championship series replacing it the following year. That final Battle Road iteration was also the shortest of all the Battle Roads, with only one tournament taking place in Spring of that year. This Japanese promo card with artwork created by legendary Pokémon illustrator Ken Sugimori was given to trainers who made it to the final tournament. To date, PSA has graded only 65 of these cards, with only 26 receiving a PSA 10 holder. Gem Mint examples such as this one rarely hit the auction block, ensuring plenty of TCG bidders will have strong feelings about whether or not they want to target this rare promo.
