Pokemon's origin raises intriguing questions that continue to fascinate fans. Does Bulbasaur take on 001 within the Pokedex? Was Rhydon the first Pokemon designed for the video games? Some fans credit the origin to Arceus, the creator of the universe and the Pokemon god. Others give that title to Mew due to the scientists and Pokemon studies finding Mew’s DNA in Pokemon throughout history. The legendary Tsunekazu Ishihara’s imagination created this debate. Ishihara, the CEO and President of the Pokemon company, a producer of Pokemon , and the former CEO and founder of Creatures, Inc., manages Pokemon -related content for the video game, anime, Trading Card Game. After the development of Pokemon Red and Green versions, Ishihara felt inspired to create a card game, which resulted in the birth of the Pokemon Trading Card Game. At a special birthday event, the CEO gifted an Ishihara GX card to employees. While the company did not release the pop count, insiders speculated that Ishihara printed about 30 to 200. Ishihara GX showcases Tsunekazu Ishihara glowing alongside an electrifying Rotom portrayed with the infamous Master Ball. The card’s text includes “60 Congratulations! GX,” a nod to Ishihara’s 60th birthday. Kanreki, one of the significant milestone events in Japan, celebrates 60th birthdays, an ode to the renewal of the Zodiac cycle. The birthday celebrator typically wears a red chanchanko (garment). Babies wear red to ward off evil spirits, but in this case, it signifies spiritual rebirth. Ishihara GX embodies this tradition with the Red Chanchanko, providing Ishihara GX with immunity to damage, effects, abilities, and trainer cards. The card also depicts Ishihara in a stunning red blazer as a nod to the Red Chanchanko. The nods to Japanese culture embodied in this rare card explain its universal appeal. The certification number on this card has been checked against the third party grader's online database and is active as of 01/03/2023.
