When it comes to trading cards, Skybox’s die-cut E-X2001 Jambalaya belongs in the Card Legends Hall of Fame. Randomly inserted into packs at a rate of 1:720, the oval-shaped cards honor the NBA’s best slam dunkers in a 15-card set. The Jordan ranks high on wish lists with its remarkable color scheme, stunning design, and a flip side story reminisces about Jordan taking off from the free throw line in the most epic Slam Dunk Contest in NBA history. The photo of Jordan on this card presents like a king at coronation. Fans obsess over the Jordan Jambalaya—and with good reason. During Jordan’s career, MJ dazzled young fans on the court and made time for them when the lights dimmed. Make-A-Wish children facing life-ending diseases visited Michael in the locker room. He would sit with them, listen to their stories, and offer his support. Cheryl Stout, who covered the Bulls for Chicago Public Radio, remembers those moments. “I’ll never forget this little girl. She was maybe about four, and he sat with her and just talked with her. We kept our distance to give them privacy, but we could see the exchange. When they finished, the little girl left, and Michael, tears just came down his face. It was really emotional to see. That’s something that I won’t ever forget.” Michael’s impact on people, especially children, was immeasurable. It is one of the many reasons fans flock to his cards decades after his retirement—and few more so than this rare high-grade Jambalaya. Just one copy in the BGS registry has a higher grade than this Gem Mint 9.5. Subgrades include 10 for Corners, and 9.5 for Centering and Surface. The certification number on this card has been checked against the third-party grader's online database and is active as of 05/18/2026.
