Panini Downtown basketball cards, which showcase artistic renderings of players in front of an illustrated background, are some of the most beloved inserts in the hobby. Debuting on the court in 2017-18, the cards have become collecting staples and ignite hearty chases around the world each year. In 2024-25, the inserts were included in Donruss Optic Basketball for the first time, giving the cards a chromium makeover in the process. The 30-card checklist includes many of the NBA's biggest stars including Victor Wembanyama. The towering Spurs center is cast against a backdrop that includes San Antonio's famous River Walk.
