Upper Deck produced several sets dedicated to Jordan’s career following his retirement, including 1999 Michael Jordan Athlete of the Century. They packaged the 90-card set in packs and boxes and added a variety of chase elements much like a traditional basketball card product. Each card in the base set looks at a different Jordan moment, milestone or skill. This particular card highlights his 42-point Game 7 performance against the New York Knick in the 1992 Eastern Conference semifinals en route to their second consecutive NBA Championship.
Randomly inserted in packs, MJ Platinum parallels come with die-cut sides and silver foil highlights, including a facsimile signature.
