Legend Oscar Robertson delivered the Milwaukee Bucks' first championship during the 1970-71 season. The road to that title did not come easily, though. Robertson grew up poor and the victim of racism in the Tennessee projects in the 1930s. In college, he won three straight national scoring titles. The most versatile player of his era, teammates and opponents have called him the Michael Jordan of the 1960s. A lifetime of awards occupy Robertson’s shelves from league MVP to the NCAA and Hall of Fame. He remains one of only two players in NBA history to average a triple-double for a season, doing so in 1961-62.
