Before the supersized Refractor rainbows common in basketball collecting today, 2002-03 Topps Chrome kept things simple with three parallels: Refractors, White Refractors with a print run /249, and Black Refractors such as the Michael Jordan with a print run /99.
The 2002-03 season served as a bookend for MJ's storied NBA career. At age 39, His Airness played in all 82 games, averaging 20 points and earning one final All-Star Game selection. M.J. doesn't appear in the 2003-04 Topps Chrome set, making this the end of an M.J. collecting era.
