1999-00 SkyBox Dominion Basketball wasn’t loaded with as many insert sets as some of its peers of the era. But that didn’t stop Dominion from packing a strong collector punch.
It had four inserts to find: Hats Off, which featured swatches of hats worn on draft day, 2 Point Play, Game Day 2K, and Sky’s the Limit. Those final three insert sets each got the same parallel treatment in the form of Plus and Warp Tek versions. But only the Sky’s the Limit Warp Tek parallels, such as this example, were serial numbered. With an /25 print run, lower than many of the most popular late-’90s parallels, including several editions of the acclaimed Precious Metal Gems and Star Rubies. It's also tougher than cornerstone inserts of the era like 1998-99 Fleer Tradition Playmakers Theater, Hoops Slam Bams, SkyBox Molten Metal Fusion Titanium inserts. Simply put, this 1999-00 SkyBox Dominion Sky's the Limit Warp Tek stands as one of the rarest parallels or inserts of Bryant’s young career.
