Shohei Ohtani put together a historic season in 2024, culminating in a September 19 game against the Miami Marlins. The Japanese superstar would go 6-6 at the plate with three home runs, 10 RBI and a pair of stolen bases—one of the greatest single-game performances ever. But there was more to it than that. During the same game, Ohtani became the first player in MLB history to join the 50/50 Club by hitting 50 home runs and stealing 50 bases. Within a couple of months, Ohtani would have a World Series and his third MVP award as well.
This 2025 Topps Baseball 2024 Greatest Hits Foilfractor spotlights that instant-classic game. Included in 2025 Topps Series 1 Baseball packs, the 1/1 pictures Ohtani tipping his cap to the Miami crowd. It's one of three cards that Ohtani has on the 28-card insert checklist but easily the most significant. Of the base version's eight parallels, this Foilfractor is the lone 1/1.
