Buoyed by the incredible success of the 2003-04 launch of its Exquisite Collection basketball product, Upper Deck started releasing its high-end Trilogy set across football, baseball, hockey and, of course, basketball, in the years that followed. As with Exquisite, Trilogy featured a selection of serial-numbered autographed inserts showcasing the game's biggest stars.
And the Michael Jordan / LeBron James double features throughout the release were Trilogy's main attractions. The two all-time greats teamed up for several autographed inserts in the set, including this /25 Duomarks issue from 2005-06 Upper Deck Trilogy.
The on-card signatures are the major stars of the card, but the acetate stock used to create the card gives it a standout appearance that differentiates itself from virtually every other dual autograph of the pair.
Just one copy of this card in the BGS registry has a higher grade than this Gem Mint 9.5. Subgrades include 10 for Corners and 9.5 for Centering and Edges. The autographs have been assessed as 10.
