In 2000, Pokémon held one of the most exclusive and secretive events in the game's history. Only the best trainers in Japan were invited to the Super Secret Battle Bash. The competitors were driven to the location in secret so even they did not know where they were going. Even today, people still do not know where the event was held today.
At this competition the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners were each awarded with cards with their own faces on the cards. This is the first and only time that Pokémon did something like this with the trophy cards. As a result, these cards are extremely sought after and rare.
