Most basketball fans lament that the world never saw LeBron James and Michael Jordan match up on an NBA court. But what if instead of playing against each other, they shared the floor as teammates? Believe it or not, MJ and LeBron teamed up—and not only in someone’s NBA 2K franchise mode. After a photo of the two icons standing on a court together went viral, King James revealed that he attended one of Jordan’s youth basketball camps in Santa Barbara during his rookie season—and together, they balled out.
“The camp would end, [and] he would let the kids watch the first game around 8:30, and then he’d have all of the kids leave and then we would stay along with the college kids that he would invite to the camp,"" James said. ""We would get a good run in for about an hour, hour-15. I was on the team with MJ and we didn’t lose a game.”
This 2006-07 Upper Deck Exquisite Collection Dual Jersey Autographs brings the pair together once again. Both icons are represented on this 1/5 card by a pair of swatches taken pieces of game used memorabilia. Jordan's are both black with a red pinstripe. James has a white and a wine red swatch.
As for the autographs, both are on-card—a hallmark of Exquisite Collectors—and display beautifully.
This EX-MT 6 is a pop 1 in the PSA registry with none ranking higher.
