On November 18, 2025, LeBron James made his season debut for the Los Angeles Lakers. It was the start of season 23 for number 23. In doing so, James broke the mark for all-time seasons played, moving past Vince Carter's 22.
The testament to his longevity was captured on a card for 2025-26 Topps Now Basketball, the print-on-demand set that captured major moments from the season as they happened. James is pictured on the front, performing his iconic pre-game chalk toss. While the card sold 30,683 copies, just one Autograph Foilfractor exists.
Sent to one random collector who ordered the base version, this 1/1 has an on-card signature from The King using the ""crown"" autograph he started using in 2025-26. It's also inscribed, ""Year 23"" adding another layer to not only the card's appeal but the history it captures.
Prior to 2025-26, the last NBA-licensed Lebron James autograph cards came out in 2009-10 during his first stint with the Cleveland Cavaliers. An exclusive with Upper Deck for much of his career, his signature didn't appear in any Panini products once they took over as the league exclusive. James' agreement with Upper Deck eventually lapsed and he signed an autograph deal with Fanatics, allowing collectors to finally get some new licensed cards once they started making NBA cards.
This card comes in a Topps Now holder from Topps.
