During its initial run from 1996-97 to 2009-10, Topps Chrome was one of the top brands in all of basketball cards. The line was put on hold after Panini took over as the NBA exclusive for the next 11 years. When Topps Chrome returned as a fully licensed release in 2025-26, it picked up where it left off with a strong mix of colorful parallels and autographs.
