One of the wildest stats in sports can be attributed to Wayne Gretzky. If you remove each and every one of the Great One’s 894 goals from his career tally, his 1,963 assists would still place him atop the NHL’s all-time points leaderboard with 51 points to spare. And while Alexander Ovechkin is looking likely to track down that career goal mark of 894, it’s safe to say fans and collectors are unlikely to ever see a more impactful player than nine-time Hart Trophy winner Gretzky.
