In 1997, Fleer/SkyBox introduced the Precious Metal Gems parallel to the football card market. After transitioning the Metal line into Metal Universe, the company produced a Precious Metal Gems Red parallel to the set numbered /150 (the first 15 sets featured green foil). The PMG only existed for three years in the football market, but it remains among the most highly sought-after 1990s sets.
And when it comes to players of that era, few can match the reverence with which collectors hold Brett Favre. Cards of the Packers legend featuring low pop counts, low print runs, and high grades always garner extreme interest in the rare instances they become available.
