Established in 2003, the Pokémon Players Club offered one of the most incentivizing kits for players to compete in the trading card game. This club operated with a points-based system, which players earned through participation and performance during the season’s events. Players bought the subscription box, placed in the top eight of official tournaments, sent in barcodes from Pokémon TCG products, completed a battle report/news write-up for the official trainers' website, or recorded matches on their challenge passports.
One of the most legendary selections of EXP promos landed in 2005 via five Eeveelution cards in their beloved shiny forms and represented on their respective cards with a glistening gold star. Players obtained the cards after gaining substantial points through official Pokémon gym event participation. After obtaining 40,000 points, players earned a gold star Espeon. These prize cards provided an incentive for players to perform well in the limited number of events before the season’s end.
The certification number on this card has been checked against the third party grader's online database and is active as of 02/01/2024.
