Established in 2003, the Pokémon Players Club offered one of the most incentivizing kits for players to compete in the trading card game. This club operated with a points-based system, which players earned through participation and performance during the season’s events. Players bought the subscription box, placed in the top eight of official tournaments, sent in barcodes from Pokémon TCG products, completed a battle report/news write-up for the official trainers' website, or recorded matches on their challenge passports.
One of the most legendary selections of EXP promos landed in 2005 via five Eeveelution cards in their beloved shiny forms and represented on their respective cards with a glistening gold star. Players obtained the cards after gaining 10,000 points, 20,000 points, 30,000 points, 40,000 points, and the grand prize after 70,000 points. Umbreon, which has one of the most significant fan followings, lit the spark for players to perform well in the limited number of events before the season’s end. A player would have to participate in about 191 events to gain enough exp points to earn the Umbreon prize, making this card an industry treasure.
The certification number on this card has been checked against the third party grader's online database and is active as of 02/01/2024.
