Bobby Hull spent his career unleashing missiles from every angle, assaulting opposing goaltenders with slap shots and continually testing defenses with his blazing speed. Such attributes earned the Golden Jet one of the game’s all-time great nicknames and the respect of his peers and fans. That respect remains to this day, as evidenced by the reverence with with vintage hockey collectors hold his 1958-59 Topps Hockey rookie #66.
The card is often beset by centering issues, and its placement at the end of the 1958-59 Topps release’s 66-card checklist exposed it to extra wear and tear on the bottom of set collectors’ stacks. Of the more than 700 times that PSA has assessed this card, just 19 copies have a higher grade than this NM 7.
