When Topps Stadium Club made its hoops debut in 1992-93, the product's Beam Team inserts became an instant-classic. The chase lineup evolved over the next few years with Special Forces added to the checklist in 1996-97. The 10-card set was exclusive to Series 1 retail packs, landing 1:20 packs. Cards typically have an etched foil finish, however they also have scarce Foil variations. These have a more traditional flat foil surface. So while these don't have quite the same visual pop, they are much harder to find.
When it comes to Michael Jordan, the top card on the Special Forces checklist, PSA has assessed just 95 total Foil versions. Of those, this is one of just six to land a Gem Mint grade. For the standard Special Forces cards, they've graded 620 copies with 16 Gem Mint 10s.
The certification number on this card has been checked against the third-party grader's online database and is active as of 06/03/2026.
