Tom Brady's signature has only appeared in a handful of NFL-licensed Topps Chrome products. Even those that do have the quarterback's autograph, they virtually all in incredibly small numbers. Since 2008, there are only two Topps Chrome autographs with Brady in an NFL uniform. Part of that is because Panini held the league's exclusive from 2015 through April, 2026 but that doesn't account for the entire period.
With Topps making NFL football cards once again, it meant the return of Topps Chrome as well as TB12 autographs. It also meant his first Topps Chrome Sapphire autographs in an NFL uniform—here as a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Sold separately from the standard Topps Chrome release, Sapphire Edition features a lot of the same elements including Chrome Legend Autographs. However, cards have a shard-like pattern in the background to help differentiate them. The number of parallels is limited to just five levels, culminating in this 1/1 Padparadscha Sapphire. The pink parallels have become a defining feature of Sapphire sets, similar to how Superfractors are in standard Topps Chrome releases.
Although the card has not received a numerical grade, it has been authenticated by CGC.
