2021 Panini Prizm Football introduced a new insert set for the line that presented players as Japanese comic characters. Manga joined the likes of Color Blast, Stained Glass and others as the product's scarce case hits. More importantly, they showcased players in a fun new way that was distinct from all other football cards up to that point.
Leading the debut 10-card Manga checklist is Tom Brady. Keeping with the comic theme, he's presented in an homage to Marvel's Thanos. Instead of an Infinity Gauntlet, Brady's gems represent his seven Super Bowl wins.
Although popular at the time of its debut, Manga inserts have since increased in popularity and notoriety.
