Shohei Ohtani is one of the most remarkable talents in modern baseball, known for excelling as both a pitcher and a hitter. After debuting in MLB with the Los Angeles Angels in 2018, he quickly became a superstar, winning AL Rookie of the Year and earning multiple All-Star selections. Ohtani captured American League MVP honors in 2021 and again in 2023. Since then, the aura surrounding Ohtani has only grown. A move to the Dodgers has resulted in two more MVP wins, a pair of World Series trophies and the founding of the 50/50 Club. These days, all eyes are on Ohtani.
This 2018 Upper Deck Goodwin Champions 3D Lenticular Base Variant Autograph Shohei Ohtani has done something that is rare with the two-way star—it has flown under the radar. The reason is simple. It's extremely scarce and its origins make it extremely difficult. The card was not available in packs. Rather, it was a special Achievement card on Upper Deck's e-Pack platform for finishing the Week 3 Photo Variations Black set. Just 31 copies were available, but the number that are actually in circulation is significantly lower as not all have been claimed.
The card's lenticular technology gives it a unique look compared to Ohtani's other rookie autographs.
Graded a Gem Mint BGS 9.5, subgrades include 9.5 for Centering, Corners and Edges. The autograph has been assessed a 10.
The certification number on this card has been checked against the third-party grader's online database and is active as of 07/10/2026.
