In 2018, Panini randomly packed Kaboom! cards into its always-intriguingly designed Crown Royale. The return of the beloved insert – which hadn’t been seen since the 2016 Panini Excalibur release – was cause enough for excitement. But the fact it coincided with Luka Doncic’s entrance to the NBA made collectors even more eager to rip open the product.
The reverse side of this card quotes Doncic jokingly aspiring to dunk on LeBron James. While Luka’s on-court wizardry knows nearly no bounds, skying for a rack attack is generally not high on Doncic’s to-do list. And after his league-shaking move to Los Angeles, Luka has gone from targeting the King to teaming up with him. With Luka set to light up Hollywood next to James, expect interest in this PSA 10 2018 Kaboom! rookie to be strong this month.
