In 2023, Topps introduced one of the most exciting new products in recent memory – MLB Rookie Debut Patch Autographs. While RPAs have long been intriguing prospects for collectors, these cards feature a special MLB DEBUT patch taken directly from the sleeve of the jersey a player wears in his first big-league game. Unsurprisingly, the 1/1 masterpieces proved to be a massive hit, prompting Topps to once again produce the cards for its 2024 Chrome Update set. Since its release in mid-November, collectors have been eagerly ripping into packs of ‘24 Chrome Update looking for MLB Rookie Debut Patch Autos of the game’s next greats, including Junior Caminero.
The highly touted infielder remains one of the most hyped players in baseball, making his MLB Rookie Debut Patch Auto arguably the most noteworthy of these treasured 1/1s to hit the market. Even more enticing is how quickly this prized piece went from ripped to graded and up for auction. The card was pulled on Fanatics Live by breakers Going Twice. The person for whom the card was hit had Going Twice send it straight to PSA, where it was quickly graded and then listed. This offering is about as close as you can get to pulling the card yourself, adding another element of excellence to this already in-demand RPA. As of the start of the December Premier Auction, no other graded and authenticated 2024 MLB Rookie Debut Patch Auto has been publicly sold.
The certification number on this card has been checked against the third-party grader's online database and is active as of 12/4/2024.
