1996-97 SkyBox E-X2000 Basketball raised the bar for basketball cards in the ‘90s. The breathtaking design incorporates die-cut images of players set over a bright blue sky background. It did not hurt that the rookie class included Kobe, Iverson, Marbury, and Ray Allen – exciting newcomers who drew collectors to the premium release.
The Credentials parallel of the base set – including this gorgeous Kobe – is limited /499 and identifiable by both its label in the top right portion of the card and the serial number on the back. The foil borders typically make grading a challenge. While this card does not carry a numberical grade, it has been deemed Authentic by PSA.
