Before the supersized Refractor rainbows common in basketball collecting today, 2002-03 Topps Chrome kept things simple with three parallels: Refractors, /99 Black Refractors, and /249 White Refractors like this Michael Jordan.
The 2002-03 season served as a bookend for MJ's storied NBA career. At age 39 and as a member of the Washington Wizards, His Airness played in all 82 games, averaging 20 points and earning one final All-Star Game selection. Jordan doesn't appear in the 2003-04 Topps Chrome set, making this the end of a collecting era.
