On the court, Stephen Curry has become synonymous with three-point records and NBA championships. When it comes to his basketball cards, the golden appeal of this iconic 2009-10 Topps Chrome Gold Refractor has few comparisons. Simply put, it's one of his single best cards from his rookie season.
In 2009, Topps released its final flagship series before Panini’s exclusive NBA license took effect. Curry highlights 15 rookies who close out the 110-card Topps Chrome checklist. Instead of producing Topps Chrome as a standalone set for 2009-10, the company included /999 Topps Chrome cards as inserts in boxes of the flagship release. Topps also produced three Refractor parallels, including /50 base Gold Refractors. Only the 1/1 Superfractor, which has yet to surface publicly, is more rare.
