Initially overshadowed by its Wizards of the Coast TCG peers, the 2000 Pokémon Topps Chrome set has become more important to the collecting community in recent years. Featuring character art based on the animated TV series, the set was released in 30-pack hobby boxes featuring five cards per pack. Sparkle-Chrome cards such as this Gengar, which is part of Series 2, fell at an average of 1:10 packs, with their glittering foil fronts and young collector population leading to low gem rates 25 years later. This is one of only 11 examples of the #94 Genar to earn a PSA 10 grade.
