Although the Seattle SuperSonics (later the Thunder) won only 43 games over Kevin Durant’s first two seasons, the Slim Reaper finally helped the team make the leap in year three. Improving the team’s record by 27 wins while raising his scoring average to 30.1 PPG, KD became the NBA’s youngest scoring champion and earned his first All-Star and All-NBA selections. That season kicked off an astonishing five-year run in which Durant led the league in scoring four times and finished second in MVP voting three times before finally taking home the honor after the 2013-14 season. Of course, Durant has since cemented his place as one of the most talented players to ever take the court. Even as his career starts to wind down, KD remains one of the most potent scorers in the NBA. As such, his 2007-08 Upper Deck Exquisite Collection RPA remains one of the most noteworthy rookie patch autos from the influential product’s seven-year run. This example, stamped 11/99, showcases a three-color patch and Durant’s 10-grade on-card signature. The card remains one of Durant’s most treasured rookie cards, just as the legendary forward remains one of the game’s greatest players. Please note that when the card is horizontal, edge cracking to the top and bottom of this BGS slab is visible. The certification number on this card has been checked against the third-party grader's online database and is active as of 03/27/2026.
