2025 Topps Chrome Baseball introduced special Gold Logoman patches worn by MLB's 2024 MVP, Cy Young and Rookie of the Year award winners. No other players got these patches. These patches were then included on a small number of cards. Single-player versions are numbered /4 while autographs are 1/1. It's the same with dual patch cards that pair up the winners from both the American and National Leagues. Simply put, the cards take one of the most desirable aspects of baseball cards—the MLB logo patch—and make it even better and more prestigious.
After been selected with the first overall pick in 2023, Paul Skenes quickly made the jump to the majors the following May. A couple of months later, he was the National League's starting pitcher at the All-Star Game. At season's end, Skenes was named NL Rookie of the Year, earning the honor of being one of the first players in MLB to wear a Gold Logoman patch.
