When it comes to sports rivalries, few are as storied as Larry Bird and Magic Johnson. It started in college where the two faced off in the 1979 NCAA Finals. Throughout much of the 1980s, Bird's Celtics and the Magic-led Showtime Lakers dominated the NBA. This included three meetings between the two in the NBA Finals. Both are icons of an era and beyond, ranking as some of the best and most popular players the sport has ever seen.
The pair have appeared on hundreds of cards over the decades, a history that dates back to their iconic rookie card matchup. As great as the 1980-81 Topps card with the two is, there are plenty of them out there. Johnson and Bird have just two total Logoman Autographs together, both part of Upper Deck's Exquisite Collection. This 1/1 from 2006-07 Exquisite is the first of these. Both legends are represented with Logoman patches taken from game-worn uniforms. They're joined by on-card Hall of Fame signatures.
