A cup of coffee at the original Dunkin’ Donuts location in Quincy, Massachusetts, cost 10 cents per cup when the shop opened in 1950. The chain has since exploded and credits its nearly 10,000 domestic locations with keeping America running. In 1998, SkyBox introduced the Dunk ‘N Go Nuts acetate insert to its E-X Century basketball line, seeding one of the 20 cards on the checklist every 36 packs. The insert has since exploded as an iconic issue from the late ‘90s, and Jordan’s card from the set remains especially popular among collectors for its bright color scheme and unique outlook on slam dunks (which, according to company designer Jean MacLeod, resulted in a cease-and-desist letter from the breakfast chain, though it did not arrive until after the product’s release).
