Since making the jump from Japan to MLB, Shohei Ohtani has never ceased to amaze. He's done things on the field that nobody alive today has seen before and built a legacy in just a few short years. Not surprisingly, his top-tier baseball cards capture plenty of attention all around the world. When it comes to autographed memorabilia cards, it's tough to top Topps Dynasty.
Although this 2023 Topps Dynasty autographed patch card has all the attributes of what makes the brand so alluring—on-card signature, low numbering (01/10) and a large premium swatch—it's a standout in the release. Rather than featuing the Japanese superstar in his MLB uniform, he's representing his home country at the World Baseball Classic. The tournament's MVP, he led with a .435 batting average, was second in RBI (8) and first in walks (10). And that was just at the plate. On the mound, he topped the WBC in innings pitched (9.2) and was third in strikeouts (11).
This card comes in a Dynasty holder from Topps.
