While most collectors can barely conceptualize how difficult it would’ve been to cover Jerry Rice on the field, plenty can relate to the difficulty of finding a PSA 10 example of his iconic 1986 Topps #161 rookie card. The 1986 Topps Football set is well-known for its classic green-and-white-bordered design, which looks fantastic but is prone to chipping. Add in the centering issues that often plague Rice’s rookie, and it becomes one of the hardest marquee football cards to track down in high grade.
