Ultimate Collection Signatures were a mainstay in Upper Deck's autograph-heavy brand for more than a decade. So was Michael Jordan. 2001-02 marks the second year for the Signatures line. For Jordan, it's his first as a member of the Washington Wizards. It's not the Bulls uniform he's more closely connected with but that helps it stand out. This is one of only two years that MJ was shown in a Wizards uniform on an Ultimate Signatures card compared to six as a Bull including some where he has several cards.
Like all Ultimate Collection Signatures Michael Jordan cards, the autograph is hard-signed. Jordan's unmistakable penmanship runs vertically up the center portion of the card and is given lots of room. The result is a 10-grade autograph that is particularly aesthetically pleasing due in part to the blues that dominate the outer design.
Just two copies of this card have a higher grade in the BGS registry than this Mint 9.
The certification number on this card has been checked against the third-party grader's online database and is active as of 12/04/2025.
