The top 1991-92 Fleer Basketball cards were largely overlooked at the time. Part of that is because they were never live in the product itself. However, every collector who opened wax packs had the opportunity to get them. Wrappers included a mail-away offer for a special 3-D acrylic card of their choice of cards from the set. Basically, they were one of the earliest basketball parallels.
For three wrappers and $4.99 plus $0.50 shipping, could select the specific card from the checklist and receive one of the exclusive cards. Compared to the number of packs produced, not a lot of people took Fleer up on the offer. The result is a set that's tough to find today coming from an era when, overall, production numbers were massive.
Most collectors who opted for a Michael Jordan card went for #29, his main player card. It appears as though far fewer went for this #375 Team Leaders card. Although exact print runs aren't known, the PSA pop report offers some insight. To date, they have assessed MJ's primary card 133 times versus just 13 of the Team Leaders issue. Jordan's other two cards in the 3-D set, #211 All-Star Team and #220 League Leaders, have been graded 37 and 25 times respectively.
This Mint PSA 9 is a pop 5 with just one copy ranking higher.
The certification number on this card has been checked against the third-party grader's online database and is active as of 04/03/2026.
