Freshman athletes at the University of Michigan were required to meet with associate athletic director Greg Harden, and he made himself available as a mentor to those athletes year after year. One athlete who took full advantage of Harden’s mentorship program was Tom Brady, who said Harden was an “amazing influence” on his career. That’s no surprise because, as Harden says, the two spent a lot of time together. “He was in the office every week,” Harden said. “He would show up Friday before every game and sit and prepare himself mentally. Remember, we’re talking about a 20-year-old guy. This guy was hungry to be the best. He was trainable, coachable, and hungry. … (NFL scouting) people thought he was too skinny, funny looking. But he was the sort of guy that would do whatever it took to please people, especially authority figures. He was easy to work with because his respect for authority was something he capitalized on.” Brady’s arrival in the NFL ultimately came as an unheralded sixth-round draft pick in 2000, but he was still part of several of that year’s trading card products, including the 2000 Pacific football release. This Premiere Date parallel of his #403 rookie in the set was limited to a print run of /78. This is one of only two PSA 10 examples of the printing, making this a rare opportunity to grab a Gem Mint TB12 rookie with a double-digit print run. The certification number on this card has been checked against the third-party grader's online database and is active as of 06/12/2025.
