This unique and adorable mammialian Eevee Pokemon has a reputation for its adaptability and the considerable benefit of evolving into one of eight different evolutions to date. Among the various evolutions that can be obtained, one of the most popular forms is the Dark type Umbreon. For trainers to obtain an Umbreon, they must first befriend an Eevee and max out their friendship level. If a trainer succeeds in doing so during the night, they will have the opportunity for their Eevee to evolve into an Umbreon. With the popularity of the Pokemon TCG rising in 2004, Pokemon sought to generate more incentives for players known as the Pop Series packs. These packs were implemented as prize support for players who participated in organized play events. Within POP Series 5 was the first appearance of English printing of two cards previously only available in Japan. One of these cards is the fabled Umbreon Gold Star card, sporting the art of Umbreon in its shiny form and an awe-inspiring color palette.
